A colour study I created in memory of an adventure through Mt Cook and surrounding regions during early 2023. We stopped by the car and as soon as I captured the reference photo, I new I had to paint the exact scene. The irridescent turquoise glacial waters shone in the afternoon light, in this moment I felt a true connection with New Zealand and its legend.
